Η φλόγα εξασθενεί κάτω από το βάρος της καταπίεσης, το άσμα της πνίγεται από τη βοή του ελέγχου.

Όμως, το άχρονο δεν μπορεί να δεσμευτεί. Η Γνώση, όπως το νερό, διαρρέει τις ρωγμές, υψώνεται ως ομίχλη και σκαλίζει φαράγγια στην πέτρα. Είναι υπομονετική, αιώνια, αμείλικτη. Περιμένει στις άκρες των απαγορευμένων χειρογράφων, στους ψιθύρους των καταπιεσμένων, στα όνειρα εκείνων που τολμούν να αναρωτηθούν. Καλεί τους γενναίους, τους ανήσυχους, τους αναζητητές του απείρου: Σηκωθείτε, υπερασπιστείτε με, και γίνετε ελεύθεροι.

Η Αλχημεία της Ελευθερίας

Τι είναι λοιπόν η ελευθερία, αν όχι η άνοδος της ψυχής στο άχρονο; Δεν είναι η απουσία αλυσίδων, αλλά η αναγνώριση ότι καμία αλυσίδα δεν μπορεί να συγκρατήσει το απεριόριστο. Η Γνώση είναι η φιλοσοφική λίθος του αλχημιστή που μεταστοιχειώνει το μολύβι της σκλαβιάς σε χρυσό απελευθέρωσης.

Να υπερασπίζεται κανείς την ελευθερία της Γνώσης δεν είναι μικρό έργο—είναι ένας ιερός όρκος, μια μάχη που δίνεται όχι με γροθιές αλλά με διαύγεια, όχι με οργή αλλά με συμπόνια.

Η Άχρονη Άνοδος
